TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING? Highly publicized lost dog cases often backfire. Too much media can be detrimental to your lost dog search because the additional pressure from the public can chase your dog out of the flyered area or worse yet, into the path of traffic. The dog may also become nocturnal resulting in fewer sightings.

If you are getting sightings of your dog – Mum’s the word! Do not try to get additional media attention. Never make the sighting locations or feeding station locations public. Be strategic and patient. Allow your dog to settle in one area and relax so that you can implement a methodical plan to safely capture him.
